Damage from a tree can be devastating and scary, especially during a storm. When high winds come along and grounds are wet and saturated, it is not uncommon for trees to fall over and cause serious damage. It can easily become a residential or commercial property owner’s worst nightmare as it usually results in both landscape and building damage. We will determine the nature of the job and what it will take to remove the damaged tree from your property and/or structure. Emergency tree service is extremely dangerous, especially during wet conditions, during a storm or when it is dark outside. We do not recommend taking trees off houses or other structures when it is dark outside because too many things can go wrong in the dark. Instead, what we will do is secure the area, work out a plan with each customer, and begin the removal when conditions are safe. Once the tree has been removed, usually we hand it over to the restoration company to perform the next steps for service (e.g. installing a tarp to cover the hole in the structure).

This is a good reminder of how important it is to have homeowner’s insurance, as it will likely cover the cost of major damages to your home. In general, insurance companies will cover the cost of trees that have fallen onto a structure and the removal of the tree from the uprooted root ball to the property line. Keep in mind that they will only cover anything that is within the property line boundaries. If a tree does not hit a structure at all, then the insurance company generally does not get involved and will not cover the costs. It really depends on the insurance company and policy a homeowner has on their dwelling.
